- Candles must be placed on a flat, safe surface.
- Make sure all candles are out before leaving the room.
- Do not put candles near curtains.
- Be careful when using oil burners - never let the oil dry out.
- Strong colours and fragrances can make candles more flammable.
- Tea lights or night lights in metal holders should be placed on or in a shallow container with water or special candle holders.
